Francesco Gonzales is member dell’Ecclesiastical Cultural Heritage Office of the Diocese of Novara.
He has collaborated with the Superintendence for the Historic-Artistic Heritage of Piedmont on the occasion of the reorganization of the Pinacoteca Albertina in Turin, of the Photographic Archive of the Superintendency and the Royal College of Carlo Alberto of Moncalieri.
He has cured important art exhibitions among which: "Guercino - The rediscovered St. Francis" at the Palazzo dei Vescovi in Novara and the Foundling Museum in London; “From Gaudenzio to Pianca. Homage to Giovanni Testori ”in the basilica of San Gaudenzio in Novara and“ Masterpieces of the Baroque. The triumph of painting in the Novara area ". In 2005 friendship with Sir Denis Mahon was born, one of the greatest art historians of the twentieth century, with whom he regularly collaborates for the exhibitions “Caravaggio. The image of the divine "at the Pepoli museum in Trapani, "Caravaggio's cheaters found", at the Pinacoteca di Cento and the Italian Cultural Institute in London, “Guercino e la Lucrezia” and other cultural initiatives of the Denis Mahon Foundation, until the disappearance of the historian in 2011, of which he realizes the official portrait now kept at the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin.
He dealt with theater and has collaborated with the set designer Edoardo Sanchi and with the Verona Arena Opera House. He studied singing with Claudio Cavina and René Clemencic, with which he deepened the baroque performance practice.
